I've Been Up All Night

I've wanted a blog for a very long time but I wasn't really sure where to begin on creating it. I've messed with WordPress and that just wasn't working for me so let's see if I can get it done with WIX. Insomnia is a real part of my life so I've been sitting here for a good part of the night trying to work through this. Apparently I need a post before I can publish my site. So that's what this is. My post to be able to publish my site.

Here's a few things I've learned over the last two years which has inspired me to write a blog.

• I've learned I can move 6 1/2 hours away from where I've lived for almost my entire life and still be ok.

• I've learned that when I do have time to go home, I don't have enough time to spend with every person in my life that I miss.

• I've learned that I can actually drive in a city without having a panic attack.

• I've learned that I should probably get up earlier because my alarm clock is not set for hitting red lights on my drive.

• I've learned to compliment strangers - hey, I love your shoes - because it makes them smile and it might be the only nice thing they hear all day.

• I've learned to talk to the elderly in the stores that strike up a conversation about a product they are looking at - I might be the only person they have to talk to for their entire day.

• I've learned you can DoorDash just about anything.

• I've learned that in rural life and city life both, there's just shit you can't fucking make up!
